We will be reading Building LIteracy with Multilingual Learners: Insights from Linguistics by Kristen Lems, Tenena M. Soto and Gareth Charles. This book explores the intersection fo second language acquisition and literacy development, translating research into practical instructional strategies. Reading will be completed on your own. We will meet for four 1.5 hour sessions to discuss the book and share materials and resources. ZOOM sessionas will be held from 3pm -4:30pm on the scheduled day; Reading schedule and ZOOM link will be sent to participants upon registraion. Book must be purchased on your own.
