As Charter Schools in NYS, your English Language Learners are entitled to specific supports and accommodations. While not all charters are required to follow CR PART 154 regulations, each public school must show how they meet the needs of their English Language Learners, comparable to state regulatory mandates. At this meeting, Charter School personnel will learn what their ELLs are entitled to, and learn how the NYSESLAT Assessment impacts their instruction. While resources and information will be shared, this meeting is intended to answer questions and meet the needs of all attendees, so please come with your questions and or email us ahead of time to address specific needs. Once registered for this session, participants will receive a Zoom link for the meeting one day ahead of the meeting. 2 hours of ELL CTLE credits will be awarded to those who sign in during the meeting.
