Congratulations to Our 2021 CTE Scholarship Award Winners

Alexia Nelms, New Visions Health Professions, Hilton: Victor and Janet Salitan Scholarship Award. This award is given to CTE students whose career paths have been positively impacted by CTE and who are choosing to continue their education at the postsecondary level.

Antonio Collazo, Carpentry, Brockport: John M. Dennis Memorial Scholarship AND Rochester Home Builders Association (RHBA) /Construction Industry Foundation (CIF) Scholarship.  The Dennis Scholarship honors a student who has demonstrated the ability to achieve his/her academic and career goals and who possesses a strong work ethic. The RHBA/CIF Scholarship is awarded to a student who will be completing a CTE building trades program and planning to enter the workforce in the residential trades.

Celina Murty, Nurse Assisting and Associated Health Careers, Greece Odyssey: Donald F. and Maxine B. Davison Memorial Scholarship. This award is presented to a student who has demonstrated distinction via at least one of the following: school performance, leadership, service, and/or character.

Connor Roberts, Automotive Technology, Brockport: John B. Barry Memorial Award AND Cameron B. Estes Memorial Award. The Barry Scholarship is presented to an outstanding student in the automotive program. The Estes Scholarship is presented to a student whose effective use of leisure time provides a significant contribution to their communities, their families and to themselves.

Dakota Burnside, Engineering and Metal Fabrication: Machining, Brockport: ROMOLD, Inc. Scholarship. This scholarship is presented to a hard-working, committed student in Engineering and Metal Fabrication who is enrolling in a machining program at the community college level, is viewed by their instructor(s) as a "go-getter," and is willing to learn and further explore manufacturing.

Emily Eichas, Nurse Assisting and Associated Health Careers,  Gates Chili: Donald F. and Maxine B. Davison Memorial Scholarship. This award is presented to a student who has demonstrated distinction via at least one of the following: school performance, leadership, service, and/or character.

Jayden Hickman, Child and Family Development, Gates Chili: Cameron B. Estes Memorial Award. The Estes Scholarship is presented to a student whose effective use of leisure time provides a significant contribution to their communities, their families and to themselves.

Lauren Dauphinee, Criminal Justice, Greece Arcadia: The Association for Career and Technical Education Administrators @ACTEAinc / WEMOCO Student of the Year Award. The winner of this award is determined by the following criteria: for his/her performance in the CTE class, for outstanding leadership and dedication to CTE outside of the classroom.

Lukas Hands, Engineering & Metal Fabrication: Welding,  Gates Chili: Monroe County Council of Superintendents / Dr. Michael C. O’Laughlin Outstanding Senior Recognition Award. Selection for this award is based on scholarship, service and character.

Madison Johnson, Nurse Assisting and Associated Health Careers, Gates Chili: Ferris Goodridge Auxiliary Award. The winner of this scholarship must display commitment, initiative, responsibility, and competency in the field of nursing, and must be accepted into a college-level nursing program.

Paige Hamilton, Cosmetology, Gates Chili: Victor and Janet Salitan Scholarship Award. This award is given to CTE students whose career paths have been positively impacted by CTE and who are choosing to continue their education at the postsecondary level.
