Project SEARCH Honors Latest Graduates

Guest speaker Kaitlyn Jackson addresses a socially-distanced audience

The Project SEARCH Class of 2021 interns were recognized for their hard work and achievements at a graduation ceremony on June 23. The four young adults were welcomed by guest speaker Kaitlyn Jackson, who is the director of employment programs at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where they all have worked this year. She thanked them for their invaluable contributions to URMC and its patients during this time of pandemic. Messages of thanks and best wishes from coworkers and supervisors were also shared via a special video presentation.

More video congratulations and encouragement came from 2017 Project SEARCH graduate, Jacob Booher Babcock. He spoke of the ups and downs they will no doubt face. He reassured them that perseverance will pay off when they find the right job.

After certificates were presented, each intern spoke about their job experiences and what they learned, and thanked those who supported them on their journey to employment.

Congratulations to our newest Project SEARCH graduates: Justin Lewis, Janelle Manning, Shandon Smith and Trinahtye Prior.
